The strange thing is...I've had a low grade temp for a few days on and off...and I've had a cold and upper respitory thing going on for a while (and YES I have been self-medicating w/over the counter stuff...b/c I don't like going to the doc..but who does?)...but the kicker is I found out yesterday...I have a Urinary Tract Infection ( I am so THANKFUL somebody nudged my stubborn self to go...thank you Lord)...I have NEVER in my life to my knowledge had one...sorry...if this is TMI...but hey...if we can talk about menopause...certainly we can talk about UTI...anyhoo...big meds...lots of water..rest...and actually I am so relieved not to have to think about boarding a plane...no place like home when you're feeling puny....Thanks hubby...for understanding...glad you're taking the next flight home!!
OH...and a bit more information for you Meno sympathizers out there...I read up on UTI and menopause...seems that women may be troubled w/UTI's along with all the other crap we have to endure during this grand season in our lives...well...isn't that lovely:)...but I'm making the best of it...actually...I feel I have an excuse to take a nap today...and so I'm off to my cozy warm bed.

Well good gravy! Hope the meds start working quickly and you're back to normal ASAP. No wonder you haven't been blogging as much! I can't believe you're still in an upright position, with all THAT going on.
Wish I could sympathize with you about the menopause but, as you very well know, I'm DEPRESSED and therefore can't help you. But I wish you all the best and may your symptoms diminish as rapidly as possible.

Your young, full of energy, yet depressed non-menopausal friend,
Kari
P.S. I've really got to quit procrastinating and go to a new doctor soon!
T, I'm so glad you finally went to the doctor and quit playing Queen Stubborn...I know I hate going to the doctor, too...always feel like such a fraud, so when I go they know it's for cause...you need to drink lots and lots of good old hot lemon tea...and chicken soup...let the aroma drift up into your nose...there's benefit from that, did you know? Seems all those wonderful old Jewish Mama's knew what they were talking about!!!Feel better Hon and snuggle down...
Hi Teresa,
Hope you are feeling better and sorry you had to miss your trip. But don't tell me I have some more fun stuff to look forward too with this menopause stuff. As if night sweats and mood swings aren't enough..........
I was so excited when I saw on Bloglines that you had a new post up, but gosh I hate to hear you've been feeling yucky. So much of that has been going around, including my hubby. I'm hoping I don't get it since we're leaving on Wednesday for New York. Take care of yourself. I hope you're feeling much better real soon.
Christmas hugs!
Kat
Those low grade temps sap you of all your energy... I deal with them all the time.
Kari confuses me with this depression stuff, now I don't know if I am depressed or menopausal...
Yikes! Well, I am glad you went to the doctor finally and found out what was going on. Now you can take the meds, get lots of rest and get better soon!

p.s. Thank you so much for stopping by and saying such nice things about the mosaic birdhouse I made for Kim at Daisy Cottage. It means a lot to me :-)
Oh my good night nurse and sweet patootie...now I have to worry about UTIs? ARGH. Kari already let me know we will all be depressed and now we will all have UTIs and hot flashes and oh it is all too much. Pass the heating pad and the mashes potatoes and put me outta my misery!
I am SO sorry you feel so rotten. A UTI is awful. I am so sorry your sweet trip was canceled too. You take care of yourself and get that rest. You NEED it. Wish I could come and help...I am there in spirit....
Love and hugs,
Sue
Wow T, thats a lot of things going on before Christmas. Hope you get to feeling better. Thanks for the compliment about Layla June. It was very nice to hear from you. Miss you T! Merry holidays.
Ouch! Not much worse than an ear ache!! Get better soon.
Oh Teresa I am so sorry to hear you are not feeling well. A missed trip is no fun at all! Do all the good things to get better ok, and hoping you will be back to your old self in no time!
